Knot Yourself Out Crochet Patterns

Knot Yourself Out Crochet Patterns Fellow crochet lover! Here you will find information and inspiration related to my crochet patterns. Hi! My name is Sonja. For as long as I can remember, I have.
(1)

If you have made it to this page, you likely enjoy crochet as much as I do. With hook in hand, you find yourself getting completely lost in lovely textured yarns, vibrant colors and the fast, soothing rhythm that comes from looping knot after knot...

And when you are not crocheting, do you find yourself dreaming about crocheting?? And dreaming about what to crochet and how to crochet it?? It is o

nly in recent years though, since the birth of my son, that I have finally begun to get my patterns written down and available to others. I hope you like my crochet designs. I believe they have a unique look and feel that reflects the wonderful diversity of the many places in which I have lived and traveled to. I get my inspiration from what I see around me every day – in the shops, on the streets, on the subway, and in the playground (to name a few). Thank you for stopping by and thank you for taking the time to read my story. I hope you will find a pattern here that will inspire you to crochet something beautiful...a scarf, a baby blanket, maybe a toy or home decor. Sonja, KnotYourselfOut Crochet Patterns

What's a ruana? πŸ€” One of the most versatile crochet garments you can make. A simple rectangle with a front opening you can wear so many ways: crossed, open, or one panel over the shoulder. And that back drape? 😍

Meet my Really-Caught-My-Eye Ruana: crocheted as one continuous piece using hdc and my signature wrapped double crochet stitches (don't worry, they're fully explained with photos!). Intermediate-friendly and one-size-fits-most.

Everything you need is below πŸ‘‡

🧢 MATERIALS

Lion Brand Heartland (100% acrylic, weight 4) β€” color Joshua Tree, x6
N/10 mm hook (for base chains)
M/9 mm hook
Yarn needle

This is Janet's Groovy-Green Shawl, and the name says it all πŸ’š

An EASY pattern worked in simple back-and-forth rows β€” just hdc and wrapped dc stitches (fully explained with photos if they're new to you).

Stylish, versatile, and seriously wearable.
Made with Lion Brand Heartland in Joshua Tree 🌡

I hope you get to crochet today πŸ’›

If you've been staring at your yarn stash wondering what to make next... this is your sign 🧢

The Sew Easy Two-Rectangle Poncho is exactly what it sounds like: two rectangles seamed together, two stitches, one-row repeat. That's the whole pattern. It's the kind of make you can stitch on the couch while barely watching what you're doing β€” and then somehow end up with an actual wearable poncho.

DM me "PONCHO" and I'll send you link to the pattern in my shop πŸ’Œ

I'll say it: I think this bag is beautiful. 🧢

My Striped Bag Beauty is roomy enough to actually hold what you bring with you, and the tassel does double duty β€” let it hang down on one side for a slouchy look, or flip it over the top to cinch the two sides together.

The colour combo is my favourite part. It just works.

Two rectangles. One seam. A whole lot of compliments. 🧢

My Easy On-The-Go Poncho is one of those projects that looks way more complicated than it actually is. If you can work a double crochet and stitch two pieces together, you can make this. That's really it.

The Really Racy Ruana πŸ”₯ This one is all about that drape. Beautiful movement in the back and all around, with so many ways to style it: crossed in front, open like a cardigan, or one panel tossed over the shoulder ✨ Fits like a poncho but stays open in front for effortless on-and-off wear.

πŸ–€ Step-by-step how-to photos included, tested for clarity and accuracy by a professional crochet designer. No AI here.

It's literally two rectangles. 🌿 Meet the Easy-Peasy Two-Rectangles Poncho β€” one of my best-sellers, and the kind of easy where you watch your shows and still make something you'll wear.

Just dc + chain spaces. Belt it, drape it, layer it. So many looks. πŸ’›

Sewing on the pockets is the WORST part of any pocket shawl 😩. That's why I designed the Easy Pleases-Me Pocket Shawl with a built-in fix. A simple slip-stitch trim row that acts as a roadmap for your stitch placement.

Follow the trim to sew the pocket on. Done. No squinting at stitch counts, no second-guessing if it's straight, no ripping it off three times (we've all been there).

Pair that with the step-by-step how-to photos in the pattern, and the part everyone dreads becomes... actually kind of satisfying.
Easy skill level. Confident-beginner friendly. Worsted weight + 6mm hook.
