What I did on my Christmas break… well I spent time with my family😍 but I also found a few vintage sewing machines that I restored and this (FREE- it was really ugly) sewing cabinet was a “refinishing project” that I just completed. My back is broken from working on it and lifting this super heavy new old Kenmore machine into the cabinet.

Why shades that cover the tops of windows had become the standard over the years is beyond me. In SO many situations top-down-bottom-up shades make more sense. I mean, who want to reveal the sky instead of the sidewalk? Cordless is best if available as an option. Can I help you select the right style and fabric for your windows(s)? I just love the beams in this renovated older home. The last pic is my favorite room in this house and is next to the lovely powder room.
