A little NY trip photo dump. 🍂🌿✨

Leaving this trip with a full heart, a nourished spirit, and so much renewed inspiration. Reconnecting with friends, embracing community, learning again from two of my mentors, and being poured into through beautiful programming, amazing food, and moments of rest and restoration (yes, I made it to the bathhouse, too! 🧖🏾‍♀️).

Grateful for the conversations, the connections, the knowledge shared, the laughter, and the reminders of why I continue to do this work. Sometimes you have to step away from what you’re building to be replenished by it all over again.

Carrying these moments, this inspiration, and this gratitude back home with me. 💚

𝑳𝒆𝒐 𝑬𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒈𝒚 𝒕𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒔 𝒖𝒔…

“𝚈𝚘𝚞 𝚊𝚛𝚎 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚌𝚎𝚗𝚝𝚎𝚛 𝚘𝚏 𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝚞𝚗𝚒𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚜𝚎.” ~ 𝙺𝚊𝚛𝚎𝚗 𝚁𝚘𝚜𝚎

We each have our own universe—our own ecosystem of experiences, relationships, desires, responsibilities, lessons, joys, disappointments, becoming and purpose.

And the condition of that universe is influenced by how we show up for ourselves and what we choose to nourish.

I’ve experienced moments where things were amazing and beautiful, and times where longing and disappointment were present. Some were because of outside factors, for sure. But some were also connected to my focus, where my energy was being spent, past trauma, and not being affirmed in my life purpose and role in a given situation.

Being the center of your universe means working on your own ecosystem so that it flourishes and thrives.

It means tending to yourself enough to know what you need, what you value, what you are building, and what needs your attention. It means learning how to recognize yourself—even when your landscape changes.

It also means not expecting to be the center of someone else’s universe. They have their own to tend to, much less to be concerned with disrupting or elevating yours.

It’s your job to tend to and nourish your world in each timeline.

Your work is to tend to your universe.

Not to measure your abundance against someone else’s.

Not to wonder why theirs appears to be thriving while yours feels dormant.

Not to abandon your own garden while studying someone else’s.

You don’t actually know what is happening inside of theirs. You only know what they allow you to see.

Their universe is not your assignment.

The lesson is to work on yourself so that you can know who you are and learn how to navigate your universe and the other universes you encounter along your journey.

Never assume you are the center of someone else’s journey for even a moment.

Remember, you are a character in theirs and the star of yours.
