This is of the first originals, especially of a project of that size. I built this gun cabinet when I was a sophomore in high school many years ago. I think I took the plans for a kitchen hutch and modified them to fit my needs. I would go on to build custom gun cabinets for people while I was in college as a side hustle. It's great to see where I started and how I've grown as a woodworker.

Unexpected projects pop up all the time. Thankfully there wasn't an issue finding the right piece of scrap wood and some beeswax to make a new blade plate for the ol' ryobi tablesaw. Plus I think the oak looks pretty nice if I do say so myself.

NEW MACHINE ALERT!!! I know it's definitely not the most fun addition to the shop, but I have been putting off buying an air scrubber for way too long. The 3417 Air Filtration System is a beast moving over 1000 CFM of air, and its super quiet for what it is. It'll be nice to breath easy and forget about the dust pile up.





Though it's not my favorite thing to do, I do enjoy the end of a refinishing project. I'm not sure how old this shelving...

Though it's not my favorite thing to do, I do enjoy the end of a refinishing project. I'm not sure how old this shelving unit is but I am sure it's 100% mahogany. This beautiful piece was just sitting in our basement all nicked up and dented. I used a natural stain and a semi gloss finish.
