Granny Bell's sailboat quilt is one of my FAVORITES! She quilted it for my dad when he was a boy. It's worn and faded from decades of use, and there are holes in the fabric. But that makes me love it even more! One day maybe I'll recreate it...

But for now, I get to enjoy it as art! I think this one will be perfect for summer, don't you?

Finished a little paint project in our bathroom at the farmhouse, and this view feels almost as good as sunshine on my shoulders!

I thrifted a child sized bookshelf (scroll for the before) and Jake hung it up on the wall over our clawfoot tub. All it took was a little paint, and now it totally fits this space and feels so much more like me! I LOVE IT! 😍

Paint is a great way to make your thrift store scores and your Facebook Marketplace finds feel a little more like you...

But getting started can be intimidating, especially if you’ve never painted furniture before.

Maybe you’re overwhelmed like I was when I first started painting. Maybe you’re scared you’ll mess it up. (You probably won't! And you can always repaint it if you don't love it.) Sharing a few pretty photos (that I took on Sunday) to my feed because right now our yard's a mud pit, the gravel road is all tore up, and tomorrow's another remote learning day. 🙃 And right now I could use a reminder of just how pretty it really was, and how much joy it brought us before it started to melt!

This is your sign to add tinsel to your Christmas tree!

I LOVE the way this tree and our bedroom fireplace turned out this year. The tinsel added that little bit of sparkle and Christmas magic to this space, while still keeping things pretty neutral. Festive but true to my beloved woods and whites. 🥰

Also this tree y'all... 😍 It's one of my favorite trees EVER! I love the quirky, life-like shape of it. It's so unique from every other artificial tree I've ever seen.

This year we added two of the cutest trees to our Christmas decor... And I think they're the PERFECT size for a bedroom!

Aren't they so cute??

My Christmas decor style is a little home-made, a little hand-me-down, and a little bit home alone...

Most of all, I want our home to FEEL like CHRISTMAS!
