This is a job I'm incredibly excited to have on my bench this week. This 1958 Gibson Les Paul junior came in with a snapped off truss rod nut that took some rod with it.

The StewMac truss rod rescue kit came in handy big time. I counter bored around the end of the rod, installed a spacer and washer along with a new nut. After putting the neck in a bit of a back-bow for a few days it'll be good as new.

Golden Era Gibsons like this or the ES-330 I had in last week are truly an honor to work on and restore

Making some more progress on the custom painted Epiphone Les Paul studio!
I wired it up with Gibson Burstbucker pickups, 500k CTS pots w/ orange drop tone caps.

I had to cut one of my reamers down so I could open the bridge and tailpiece stud holes a little more. The paint shrunk the holes a little too much. I also froze the stud bushings overnight so they'd drop in easier!

More mods on the Teisco bass today! I wasn't happy with the 2 volume 1 tone wiring. I installed a 3 way toggle and swapped the k***s for some large industrial control k***s.

I also had to route a small section out for the switch to fit. Now that It's playing and sounding great, I should probably replace the strings. It's only been 13 years...🤣 granted most of that time it was in various states of disrepair

Got the Tele wired, hardware on, and neck attached! Time for a set-up and it'll be ready to go!

This 1960s Decca/Teisco bass was the first BIG FIX i ever attempted on a guitar. Many moons ago I fixed the headstock that snapped completely in half.

When I took the tuners off I noticed it opened up a little bit. Nothing glue and rubber tubing can't take care of!

Now that's fixed I decided to put a matched set of Gotoh tuners on it! A much much needed upgrade now that It's back to life and playing better than it ever has!

Making progress on this cool telecaster. I figured the arbor press would do a great job pressing in the string ferrules and it sure did!

Time for a new neck and setup on this Fender stratocaster! The neck is GORGEOUS!
