I had one of these last year that worked but had no fm audio. This one works across all bands. A few capacitors and a chassis adjustment got it sorted! $75 and it’s yours!

Here we have a Chinese bootleg ccr album being played on my dual 1009sk turntable. Hooked up to a phono preamp and then to my telefunken opus 6 hi-fi. The album is very peculiar in its origin and the style of the jacket. It’s all in Chinese. And the jacket is similar to a newspaper. Western music and culture was not welcome in China whatsoever so the fact that this record exists to this day is what makes it so unique. Surprisingly enough the sound quality is great.

Here’s a nice nordmende elektra 58 I’m bringing back to life. The sound quality is superb as is the condition of the cabinet. Once it’s all said and done and fully functional, it will be for sale!

Here’s a cool example of an old Bakelite radio, this 1951 silvertone model 6 was a cheap budget friendly solution to those who wanted to listen to am radio without having to break the bank. Despite its low price point and being a low end radio, this one has stood the test of time due to its rugged build quality. Silvertone was Sears’ store brand and sold radios often made by big name manufacturers to meet a price point. Inside, rather than typical wires leading to the speaker, they used solid bare wire (like welding wire). All original and it still turns on and works as if it were 1951.

Here’s a nice little portable decca am/fm/afc radio. Runs on a 9v battery or plug it into an outlet. The power cord stows away inside in the back. It’s got good reception across both bands, perfect to take camping, hiking, the beach etc. it may be 2022 but sometimes it’s nice to just turn the phone off and take a break from modern technology. For $20 you can take home this transistor time capsule.
