LENTILS. These little gems are a great source of non-animal heart healthy protein.

8 reasons to try them:
1. High in fiber - fiber helps reduce risks of heart disease.
2. Improves digestive health - because they are high in copper and folate and fiber
3. High in protein (18g/1 cup) which is essential to every cell in our bodies.
4. Improves immunity by boosting our systems with thiamin, folate, iron, magnesium, potassium, zinc, copper, manganese and omega-3 fatty acids.
5. Promotes Weight reduction - a high fiber diet has been shown to have a strong link in reducing weight
6. Great source of folic acid - which is a type of Vit A essential for metabolism, repair of DNA and cell growth.
7. High in Iron- important for blood production and is located in our red blood cells.
8. Boosts metabolism - as they are a good source of B3 which helps the nervous system and digestive system.

Who else loves breakfast for dinner?

Easy 30 minute meal. Healthy. Packed with protein and flavor thanks to .

Want to know how I made it? Mix Eggs, flour, seasoning, cooked chicken, red peppers, and some shredded cheese together. Pour into a lightly buttered pie plate. Top with tomatoes and a little more cheese. Bake 385 for 20- 25 minutes.

Into your head? Avoid? Talk it through with a friend? Pray?

I head to the beach and walk and pray.

Seeing the beauty of God’s handiwork and the vast expanse of possibility across the ocean grounds me in peace and helps give me a new perspective.

To know me is to witness my big heart, my big emotions, my big love, and my big failures as you’ve walked them with me.

Today - I walked at the beach and while there is so much chaos around - I came home calm.

I made an Asian inspired rice bowl with chicken and broccoli.

What made the meal so delicious was adding sesame lovers spice blend over my homemade spicy marinade.
