The Bird House Mini Collage is the perfect little collage to celebrate those last few moments of summer, or you can use fall or winter fabrics to make it for any season. It is also a great way to use up your scraps. I challenged myself to make this collage with only scraps from a mystery bag. It was a fun way to use fabrics that I would normally pick up.

I made this block to commemorate a trip to West Virginia and our visit to the Mothman statue. This block is easy with the 16-at-a-time half-square triangle method. Practice Half-Square Triangles while making the West Virginia Star block. I chose this block for our intermediate series to honor my road trip through West Virginia and the legend of the Moth Man.

The block finishes at 16 ½” x 16 ½”. Perfect for a mini quilt or throw pillow.
