With the help of my “committee” who gives the final inspections of my designs, composed of close friends and family on a never-ending group text, I have been creating signs and furniture with various techniques from wood and metal. Brush 44 Designs emerged from old fashion creativity, Wyoming home decor, and ample amounts of support and encouragement. My brother Brian was always encouraging others to do whatever it is they loved and to make the most of each day. He passed seven years ago and the first part of my business name is his first initial and then his last name, Rush. Everyday I am thankful for the time I was able to spend with such a talented and loving brother who taught me to have courage and take in everything life and nature had to offer. The “44” represents Wyoming, as it was the 44th state to be established in the U.S. The year I started Brush44 was also the year my brother would have turned 44.
