The Eagle and Horse made it safely to their new home in Tennessee, and seeing these reviews really made my day.

Every carving represents hours with a chainsaw, painting, and probably a little too much overthinking. 😆 Knowing they're appreciated in their new homes makes all that effort worth it.

I'm back at it again today, putting the finishing touches on the Eagle with more motivation thanks to these reviews. 💪

I’m putting everything I have into the finishing touches of this 36" eagle today. 🦅🇺🇸

This isn't just another carving—it’s a 250th US Anniversary Edition, and it feels extra special in my shop right now. As a father with a daughter proudly serving in the Navy ⚓, I’m working hard to make sure every feather and every detail honors the spirit she’s out there protecting.

It’s a lot of hours with the saw and the brush, but when I think about the sacrifice our service members make, it pushes me to be even more of a perfectionist. I want this piece to be a true one-of-a-kind tribute for whoever brings it into their home.

He’ll be ready for personal delivery during my Ohio trip July 3rd–6th, or I can have him shipped safely anywhere in the US! 🚚📦

He’s officially out of the log—meet Henry! 🐮✨

I just finished the sealer on this new Highland Cow. Standing 16" tall and 11" wide, he’s the perfect size for a mantel or entryway. I added a little more character by carving a ring in his nose—it’s those small details that make each piece unique.

Henry is looking for a home and is ready to jump in the truck for personal delivery during my Ohio trip July 3rd–6th or shipping if needed. 🚚💨

I honestly can't believe these cardinals are still looking for a home. ❤️
Every time I walk past them, those bright red colors catch my eye and make me smile. I've been seeing a lot of cardinals lately and it never gets old.

They're about 16" tall, sealed for indoor or outdoor display, and ready to bring a little color and warmth to someone's home.

He’s officially finished, and he has a name—meet Rusty!

I want to thank everyone for the awesome name ideas on my last post. I loved them so much that I’m saving the others for my next few carvings! 

If you listen closely, you can hear my "quality control team" (the chickens) in the background giving their final approval. I’m really happy with how Rusty’s personality came through.

Rusty is currently looking for a home and is ready to be "mummified" for shipping anywhere in the US!

I’m a perfectionist with my carvings, but I’m even worse with my packing. Between the horse and eagle heading to TN and the owl shipping to Ohio, my shop is currently a mountain of boxes and tape. 📦💪

I just finished sealing this raccoon, and while the others are spoken for, he’s still looking for a place to stay! If your carving arrives and looks like a mummified log, just know it’s because I wanted to make sure it survived the trip back to my old stomping grounds in Ohio and beyond! 🌲✨

The man behind the saw....🪵

From building my own toys as a kid in the Philippines 🇵🇭 to operating heavy equipment in Ohio 🚜, I've always enjoyed working with my hands and creating things.

I'm Romel, the chainsaw carver behind Wood Ridge Carvings. About a year ago, I moved to South Carolina and took a leap of faith to turn my passion for carving into a full-time career. One thing I quickly fell in love with here was the abundance of carving logs and the warmer weather, which lets me spend more time outside doing what I enjoy most. 🌲☀️

I'm a bit of a perfectionist, and every piece I create is made with the goal of being one of a kind. I don't just carve logs—I try to bring out something special that can't be found anywhere else. 🪵🪚

Wood Ridge Carvings is truly a family effort. My wife, Stacie, is a full-time nurse, but somehow still manages to keep everything running behind the scenes—from messages and orders to packing and shipping. We have three amazing kids. Our oldest daughter is proudly serving in the Navy ⚓, and our two younger ones are often recruited as assistant painters, helpers, and occasional models for new carvings (usually with a little encouragement... and maybe a bit of bribery 😆).

I'm grateful to spend my days doing something I love, and even more grateful for everyone who follows along, supports our small business, and brings these carvings into their homes.

360 degrees of American spirit. 🦅🇺🇸

I wanted to make sure this bald eagle looked just as powerful from the back as it does from the front. As a perfectionist, I spend hours on the details you might not even see at first—from the individual wing feathers to the steady gaze in the eyes. This large eagle is officially finished and ready for its new home!
