Talk about a sizzling weekend. It was hot outside and so was the competition. Kids-Q on Saturday afternoon was the real test. It was a perfect ending to our spring season at Sizzle and Splash 2026.

Over all Reserve Grand Champion!🏆

Chicken 🐔 2nd 🥈
Ribs 🐖 9th 🤦‍♂️ (totally my screw up)
Pork 🐷 3rd 🥉
Brisket 🐄 1st 🥇

Kids-Q Kage & Cheyenne tied 4th on burgers

Talk about a weekend for the books. Pitmasters in Paradise at Camp Margaritaville did not disappoint at all. What a venue and competition. Going PRO this weekend was humbling and a learning experience. Pipkin Creek BBQ Co. took on 2 meats this weekend, and my bud Tom from Powered By Smoke took the other 2.

Here is how we placed at the end of the day going against some of the top teams in the country.

31st overall. As Powered by Pipkin team this weekend.

We took on ribs and brisket.
16th in ribs 🐖 173.12
21st in brisket 🐄 168.56

Tom took on chicken and pork.
32nd in pork 🐷
34th in chicken 🐔

Congratulations to Keepin’ It Smokin’ Competition BBQ on their RGC and Double Barrel Smokers on the GC.

Tough results but not to shabby for our first pro competition.
