Antique brass brazier. Middle eastern perhaps Turkish. Very popular late 19th century aesthetic era, think Lawrence of Arabia. Used to hold hot coals to warm drafty rooms or tents. This one has been deaccessioned from our . It was in storage with no provenance for years. All proceeds go to directly to the library. Hand wrought and cast brass.
