This is a kitchen I’ve worked on over time.
The last image shows the original builder version — a typical layout and material selection found in many homes.
The second was my renovation in 2017. At the time, I was working with a more limited budget and fewer material options, so the design decisions were shaped by what was available.
The first image reflects how I would approach the same space today.
Over time, what changes is not just experience, but also access — to better materials, more refined solutions, and stronger support behind the design process.
One important thing I’ve learned is that people often focus on individual elements, like color, but what really matters is how everything comes together. The overall composition, functionality, and how the space is used daily are what define the final experience.
Good design is not just about appearance — it’s about making decisions that work both visually and practically.
