When we were kids, wonder came easy.

We chased fireflies.
Stared a little longer at sunsets.
Caught tiny lights in mason jars and held them like treasure.

Somewhere in growing up, I think we forget to be amazed by the things God placed all around us.

The light. The color. The quiet moments.
The little reminders that creation is still speaking—we just have to slow down enough to notice.

Maybe faith is a little like that too.

Not always found in the big, unmistakable moments… but in learning to see His fingerprints in the ordinary.

“He has made everything beautiful in its time.” — Ecclesiastes 3:11

Jar of Wonder
A reminder to never outgrow the awe.

There’s something about a fair that feels like summer trying to hold on just a little longer.

The lights. The noise. The smell of fair food. Standing in line. Riding something you probably shouldn’t have eaten before riding. 😂 And somehow, years later, those little moments become the ones you remember.

That’s what I wanted to squeeze into this tiny card — a little bit of nostalgia, a little bit of summer, and one of those memories that seems to come round & round again.

I’ve really been enjoying seeing just how much of a story I can fit into these little ATCs.

What the one thing you HAVE to get when you go to the fair?

A little piece of hometown and history.

I don’t feel like I show the work in progress very often.

I get caught feeling like the mess can’t be seen until it’s finished. Like it isn’t “done” or “good enough” yet.

But here is the mess.

The process.

The awkward stage where some things make sense and others don’t. Where I know what I’m trying to create, but I can’t quite see it yet.

And maybe that’s where faith and art have more in common than I realized.

Both ask us to trust what’s taking shape before we can see the finished picture.

There are layers still to come. Things that will be covered up. Things that will be brought forward. Mistakes that may become part of what makes it beautiful.

Maybe life looks a little like that too.

So, for once, I’m letting you see the mess.

Still unfinished. Still becoming. Still trusting the process.

“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.”
— Philippians 1:6

Now let’s see where this one goes. ✏️🎨

These pieces I have been sharing lately are ATC’s or Artist trading Cards. The premise being trading with other artists. This is one I received from an artist out of Port Charlotte, Florida. Thanks so much for trading Ray. If so inclined go check out their page. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61572482193180

Had a request for a card similar to the last one. Of course I can’t make them the exact same, so I flipped the bird to face the other direction and added the state flower… can anyone tell me what it is? (without looking it up) thanks for looking!❤️

This was another request and is headed out Monday. So happy with how this state card turned out. Iowa is in a gradient of the state flag and I absolutely love goldfinches! So much fun, thanks for looking!❤️

Mountains have always fascinated me. I can’t think of anything better to remind you of how small you are- and how steady the rock beneath you is. I found that fitting for Psalms 62.

For God alone my soul waits in silence;
from Him comes my salvation.
He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I will not be shaken.
