Come along for the most random charleston day that made my heart smile. It started slow on the porch then picked ripe blackberries, made jam for the first time, wandered around Hidden Ponds Nursery and Sewee Outpost , laughed at goats playing, picked up fresh shrimp from a roadside stand, and ended the day trying a new recipe for dinner.
Somewhere along the way, I also decided I might need a kitten, a goat, and a few ducks.
The older I get, the more I realize there are still new things to learn, simple treasures to appreciate, and ordinary days worth slowing down for. The work will be there tomorrow, but days like this feel too good to rush through.
A 10/10 Lowcountry summer day.
