Dressing up is fun, but going home is the best 🤎.

Thank you, Texas, for the long walks with Regan Mauck | Blooming Nest | Affordable Home & Fashion & new friendships, conversations with brands and social teams I love getting to work with, lots of bunny sightings on evening walks, new layers of faith & healing, and so much inspiration.

Grateful for it all. And also very ready to sit on my porch with coffee and no makeup, pick up my kids from school, stare at a wall and just be still in this next season.

What if we’ve been overthinking hospitality?

I used to think having people over meant making everything just right. The house, the food, the table. And somewhere along the way, I realized I was spending so much time preparing that I was missing the whole reason we were gathering.

That’s what I love about The Chosen Presents: Taste & See, a devotional cookbook by Dallas & Amanda Jenkins and Tara McClary Reeves. It looks at hospitality with recipes, scripture, reflections and practical ways to open our homes and hearts to others.

I made one of the charcuterie boards from the book and I’m already rethinking how I make mine. The goat cheese truffles might officially be my new favorite snack, and the feta too. SO good.

But beyond the food, I love the reminder that hospitality isn’t about performing for the people we invite in. It’s about making room for them. For food, faith and real connection around the table.
