Had an amazing and exhausting weekend Festival In The Park! A huge THANK YOU to everyone who stopped by to chat &/or support my small art business. My favorite part of these shows is connecting with previous & new collectors, seeing my work in homes and making new friends! This really is the reason I do art shows. I’m truly grateful!

Been a busy bee in the studio the last few weeks and months. Between commissions and prepping for fall art shows, my cup runneth over.
Anyway… a quick look at a few of the pieces I’ll be bringing with me to my first ever The Other Art Fair show!
Show is in Atlanta, October 1-4th. Come say hello if you’re in the area!

My new favorite landscape piece…
This new landscape collection was inspired by a boat trip down the Cape Fear River in Wilmington, NC.
Stories of dangerous currents that caused shipwrecks and Bald Eagles & Osprey hunting and battling each other. The mix of land, marsh, brackish water…and all the hidden secrets of history. Stories of the Underground Railroad trips and the Battleship NC getting stuck in the 60’s. I truly fell in love with this area and wanted to express just a drop of the feeling and inspiration this magical place left me with.

Hi, I’d like to introduce my new favorite piece….
Swipe to the end to see how it started.

Like a lot of things in life it was born out of frustration.

And it has lots of layers and some texture because it had a previous life…

How this piece started…it was a failed abstract piece that needed to take an abrupt left turn to become what it was meant to be.

Back to painting in the studio after a very busy May doing art markets. It always takes me a bit to transition from busy to the slower pace of painting and observing. Here’s a few things happening in my studio right now.

Just wanted to say I had an amazing weekend this past weekend in Raleigh. I got to chat with so many friendly people. I’m so very grateful for all the support from new collectors, new artist friends & especially my husband who helps me with all my setup & tear downs.
