An expensive-looking home isn’t necessarily filled with expensive things. ✨
One of the biggest misconceptions I see in interior design is that creating a high-end space means spending top dollar on everything.
It doesn’t.
What makes a home feel elevated is intentionality.
It’s knowing where an investment will make the biggest impact—and where it won’t.
It’s choosing the right scale of furniture for the room. Mixing materials and textures so the space has depth. Selecting lighting that enhances the architecture. Creating a cohesive color story. And most importantly, making sure every piece works together instead of simply filling the room.
You can have a very expensive sofa in a room and still have the space feel unfinished.
On the other hand, you can mix investment pieces with more accessible finds and create a home that feels beautifully collected, polished, and custom.
That’s where professional design makes the difference.
As a designer, my job isn’t simply to find beautiful furniture. It’s to look at the entire space—layout, proportion, function, lighting, finishes, color, styling, and all of those small details that ultimately create the finished experience.
Because good design isn’t about spending more everywhere.
It’s about knowing where your money will have the greatest impact.
