SoundCorps is proud to be the Chattanooga affiliate of the Junior Appalachian Musicians Program, providing traditional instrument instruction in banjo, fiddle, and guitar for Hamilton County students in grades 4 -8!

Who: 4th Graders - 8th Graders who want to learn banjo, fiddle, or guitar
When: Tuesdays 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. (12 weeks starting May 21)
Where: R.I.S.E. Chattanooga Community Hub at 2901 Taylor St
Cost: Tuition is $13 per week ($156 per semester), with full scholarships available for all students from under-served communities.

Fun Bohemian style with warm colors!

Here are some useful tips for decorating shelves:

- Use complimentary or neutral colors for a cohesive look.
- Spread the colors you’ve chosen out throughout the shelves, spacing them differently from shelf to shelf.
- Use decor with varying textures and shapes.
- If using books, place both vertically and horizontally.
- Add plants for a natural element and a pop of color
- Frame printable art that you can easily change out for the seasons.
- When decorating multiple shelves in one space, arrange items in groupings.

When decorating shelves, aim for a balanced look with some shelves having two items or groupings of items, some shelves with three items, and some shelves with just one large item. Vary the formula and layout of each shelf to create more visual interest. Height is also important; try using all similar size items on one shelf, creating a horizontal line for your eye to follow. On the next shelf, place a taller item in the middle of two shorter pieces, creating a pyramid or vice versa in the shape of a "V".

When choosing colors for your room, remember that whites neutralize the room, making it easier to incorporate other colors into your space. A pop of color or black with warm woods can be used to create different light effects and enhance the room. Vary the shades of white for a more natural look.
