So I've been busy...

I gotta say, batch sewing isn't as tedious as I thought it would be. It's almost zen, getting into the flow of each step done nine times in a row before I have to move on again. Time for the next batch.

Time for a mental break. 20 minutes and wet paint. It's just a sketch really, but I want to start stretching how I perceive color and this was a fun exercise. No thinking, just add paint add paint add paint until the paint is gone. I don't hate it lol

This is some of my best work yet, at least in the realm of sewing. This is the Stonecrop Satchel, by Blue Calla Patterns. My version features an all-vinyl exterior with a delightful Chococat print, soooo many pockets (seriously, this is a carry-everything bag!), and a matching removable shoulder strap. This pattern is no cake walk, but I'm absolutely thrilled with the results and couldn't be happier.

Alcohol markers and colored pencils

This started as a proof of concept. I wanted to see if I could draw a landscape in markers, partly because I'm learning the markers and partly because I've never tried a landscape in any medium (so many details 😵‍💫). Just shy of two months later, I think I can say that yes, I can do this. 😁😁
