It took a while to get here and you know I WAY overthought every detail, but I officially LOVE our bedroom. I went down a path with tons of throw pillows and hated it because it wasn’t practical for sleeping every night, so I paired down and love this simpler look. And if you watched my stories, you’d see the previous curtains that I loved but just didn’t love them in this room. It’s all a process. Home takes time. And, having an eye for design and figuring out the details of why I like certain rooms takes time. I’ve finally found the sweet spot of having a little bit neutral but with texture and some bold contrast!

The new kitchen is finally done!!! Even though we didn’t demo anything, it wasn’t an overnight makeover like on HGTV. It was a process over several months, and it’s so exciting to see my vision come together! Here’s what went down since we moved in last August:
✔️Refinished the floors in the entire place
✔️Replaced light fixtures
✔️Removed old shutters on the window
✔️Added crown molding to the cabinets & trim around the island
✔️Replaced the cabinet hardware
✔️Had the cabinets painted
✔️Installed a new backsplash
✔️Got new appliances
✔️Installed a new bamboo shade
Now I longingly stare at my kitchen in aw that it’s mine. 😍 Check out my kitchen story highlight to to follow along the process and see the before pics! Crazy how different it looks without ripping out anything!

These cutie tulips are giving me all the hope that spring is right around the corner! Whose with me? 🤞🏻Some of our 2 feet of snow is even melting today! It’s crazy how a little vase of flowers can completely change your mood. I haven’t had fresh flowers in my house since my wedding in October and I missed them so much!

The kitchen is (almost) finished! Crazy what some paint and new light fixtures can do to transform a space(And refinished floors 🙌🏻... and a few other details 😋)! So happy with how this budget friendly update turned out! The last finishing touches include a bamboo shade for the window, new appliances (arriving this month) and a big vase of fresh flowers.😉 Check out my story for a before photo. So satisfying! This is proof that you don’t have to fully gut kitchens (like they do on every home show) to get a big impact.

Wedding pictures are up! 🙌🏻 Was a pain in the butt to find the frames and mats that I wanted, but I figured it out. Wanted the extra wide mat and super thin black frame and LOVE how it came out! Also love that these aren’t “in your face” wedding pictures but more subtle.

I present to you my new pride and joy! I can’t stop staring at this rug! Might be my favorite purchase ever! Might be cliche, but it feels so “me”! Blue has always been my jam through and through. And, my husband even loves it and that’s saying a lot for him to actually like anything I decorate with. 🤣

Loving these pretty snow-covered trees out the window this morning. A perfect winter scene to wake up to and love how bright it makes an otherwise dreary day.

Looking back on 2020 with so many mixed emotions. There were the obvious lows and the adjustment to a new way of life that we all experienced this year, but we also had the blessing of so many highs including buying our new home, getting married, both of our siblings getting married this year too and gaining a new neice! 2020 will go down as one of our families most memorable years for all the good and the bad. When I look back, I can only be thankful even if our wedding wasn’t anything like we pictured and all our vacations were cancelled and more. We have each other, our families, our health, our new home, our jobs and we’ve learned how to slow down our normal pace of life and focus on the important things.

Obsessed with my current view from the couch. It really is the most wonderful time of the year!!! ✨ Relaxing for now, the going to Zoo lights tonight, which is our annual tradition! It was one of my husbands and my first dates together and then it’s where we got engaged last year! Soooo thankful that we’re able to continue our special tradition even during Covid which has cancelled so many other Christmas traditions and events in our lives!
