Mixing metals, i.e. brass + bronze, is quite pretty. But, sometimes figuring out how to place them in a room can feel daunting. You’re in the midst of a bathroom renovation and you’re thinking… “If the mirror is brass, what color should the sconces be? What if the sconces are bronze, can I use black hardware? Does the brass on the faucet need to be the exactly the same color as the brass sconce. And, now what color is the mirror supposed to be?” I hear ya, decision overload!

Here are some helpful tips to take the worry out of it:

1️⃣ Only use two metal finishes (the above example is brass and bronze)

2️⃣ Brass finish colors can vary between different manufacturers. Create distance between your various brass finishes by alternating finish placement. For example, if you’ve selected a brass faucet, then pair it with a bronze mirror.

3️⃣ The lighting and cabinet hardware also offer the opportunity to mix up your metals.
Example: Brass Faucet 💦/ Bronze Mirror/ Brass Sconces 💡/ Bronze Hardware
