Super Moist Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Ganache π«π°
Ingredients:
1ΒΎ cups all-purpose flour π₯£
2 cups granulated sugar π¬
ΒΎ cup unsweetened cocoa powder π«
1Β½ tsp baking powder π§
1Β½ tsp baking soda π₯
1 tsp salt π§
2 large eggs π₯π₯
1 cup whole milk π₯
Β½ cup vegetable oil π’οΈ
2 tsp vanilla extract πΏ
1 cup boiling water π§ (to intensify the chocolate flavor)
For the Ganache:
1 cup heavy cream π₯
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips π«
Instructions:
1οΈβ£ Preheat & Prep:
Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) π₯. Grease and flour two 9-inch round baking pans or line them with parchment paper. π
2οΈβ£ Mix Dry Ingredients:
In a large bowl, sift together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well. π₯£
3οΈβ£ Add Wet Ingredients:
Add eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes until smooth. Hand or electric mixer works! π₯ποΈ
4οΈβ£ Add Boiling Water:
Stir in the boiling water last. The batter will be thinβthis is normal and ensures a moist cake! π
5οΈβ£ Bake:
Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. ππ¦·
6οΈβ£ Cool:
Allow cakes to cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. π§
Make the Ganache:
1οΈβ£ Heat Cream:
In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it begins to simmer (donβt let it boil!). π₯π₯
2οΈβ£ Melt Chocolate:
Pour the hot cream over the chocolate chips in a bowl. Let it sit for 5 minutes, then whisk until smooth and glossy. β¨
3οΈβ£ Assemble the Cake:
Place one cake layer on a serving plate. Spread ganache over the top, then place the second layer on top. Pour ganache over the entire cake, letting it drip down the sides. π
4οΈβ£ Decorate & Serve:
