Still smiling about this one!

Getting to bring Taylor James Designs back home to Elkhart and share something I love creating with so many people I love was pretty special.

A HUGE thank you to Brad (J&B Home Decor & Gifts) and Nicole (Nicole Cripe Style) for collaborating with me and making the whole thing so much fun. I couldn’t have asked for better people to do this with!

And to everyone who came by, bought a piece, shared the event, sent me a message, or cheered me on from near and far — THANK YOU. Truly. There are lots of people (and pieces that found new homes!) not pictured here, but please know how much every bit of the support meant to me.

There was something really full-circle about bringing what I’ve been creating in Chicago back to the place that will always be home.

Storage, but make it beautiful.
This project was all about adding function without losing the feeling of the space. My client’s style leans more traditional, so we brought in storage pieces that complement part of her crystal collection and classic decor, then balanced them with cleaner, more modern styling to keep everything feeling fresh. Choosing furniture in the right tone was key — it allows these pieces to blend into the kitchen nook almost like built-ins, instead of stealing the show.

And of course, I had to include a before — because I love a before shot, and also because the “after” just hits better when you know where we started.
