After the Storm in Northwest Indiana 🌪️

I drove around the area and captured some of the aftermath left behind by yesterday’s severe storm — fallen trees, damaged power lines, debris, and neighborhoods still dealing with the impact.

We’re now on our second day without power, and many people around the area are still waiting for electricity to be restored.

Seeing the damage up close really shows how powerful the storm was. I hope everyone in our community and our neighbors made it through safely and that no one was seriously hurt.

Well… I guess today’s plans are officially canceled 😅🌪️

We had a tornado warning this morning, and for about two minutes the storm went absolutely insane. I could barely see anything outside, the wind was roaring, and the trees were shaking like crazy.

I still don’t know if a tornado actually passed near us or if it was just extremely strong straight-line winds, but the aftermath is pretty wild. Huge branches and parts of trees are down everywhere, power lines were damaged, and we lost electricity.

Thankfully, our house is okay and somehow the cars survived too — which honestly feels like a miracle looking at all the trees around them 😂

So instead of everything I planned to do today… I guess we’re having an unexpected no-power day and waiting to see when electricity comes back 😅

Definitely one of those “welcome to Midwest weather” days. 🌪️⛈️
