Catrina Haberman
Art has always been her refuge—a safe place to escape a difficult childhood marked by an abusive home and ongoing health challenges. Creativity became both a coping mechanism for PTSD and a way to bring light into dark times. Over the years, pen pals, quilting, and crafting nurtured her artistic spirit, eventually leading to a shed overflowing with supplies and inspiration.

While health conditions and regular doctor visits make it difficult for her to hold a full‑time job, she finds peace in nature walks. About Four years ago, those walks took on new meaning when she began picking up litter to dispose of properly. The bright colors of discarded plastics sparked an idea: instead of simply throwing the trash away, why not transform it into something meaningful? By turning what harms the environment into art, she has created a way to recycle the unrecyclable and reveal beauty where others see waste.

Catrina Haberman is the creative force behind "Beauty Brought To You By Trash” and many other one‑of‑a‑kind works. In her recycled art collection, she transforms litter into striking pieces by gathering discarded materials from the environment, carefully sanitizing them, and reimagining them as art. Each creation not only showcases her originality but also highlights the importance of sustainability and finding beauty where others see waste. She's been doing this incredible art for the past four years.

Made this Set of flowers with their little humming bird friend this morning.
I struggled a bit with this one, so I am glad it turned out. I am still brand new to this but I would say this is My personal favorite piece so far.

This is an interactive Piece. The Base swivels all the way around- 360° and the Humming birds wings move!!
Have you ever tried to video a Spring moving? Looks almost like AI because my camera couldn't capture it!!🤣

Suncatcher/windchime? It catches the sun and makes sound so I suppose it's both!

The top is from a Broken Coffee press.
The Glass is various Wine/juice bottles
The copper is from old electrical wire
The dangle is a soda poptab
And the charms were donated via one of my wonderful locals that gave me a bag of broken Jewlery!
