This next collection…it’s not one to miss my friends.

Taking the summer off of markets was a very welcomed choice. Summer is hard, hot and being outdoors for hours on end setting up and breaking down on hot pavement is no easy task.

But it has been fun getting back into total creative mode and creating just as I wish. Now…commissions are my bread and butter, baby. I LOVE creating a magical piece for someone that has chosen WoodSolStone to create them a…magical piece… 🥹

But chillin with no design “barrier” is that certain kind of soul food….

I can’t believe the Hyde Park Square Art Show is a month away…and I gots some WORK TO DO! 🤘🏼

Are you planning on going? Have you been to this show before? It’s one of my favorite ones so I am so excited to attend as an artist this time!

I got home from a long, standing, yapping and beautifying day at the salon…we have sick people in the homestead…my daughter hasn’t started school yet so I’m just….well let’s just say I’m ready for school to start ’…and this long lists of things I need to do that my analysis paralysis is in so much of a full swing that my head…it’s not attached, I have no idea where it is.

Anyway. I got home from my other passion behind the chair (I’m an independent contractor/ hairstylist also!) and had to disappear for a moment to work in my other creative form…and disassociate for a few hours.

I got completely in the auto-zone and started working on this old chalkboard frame I’ve been wanting to moss.

I’m still figuring out what this frame is telling me what to add…but damn. This wall may be one of my own personal favorites. I love the maxed out, super organic look. And it has 2 planters magically placed inside to add living or faux plants.

I’m also thinking to add dried flowers…girly and whimsy this gorgeous wall up.

Anywhooooo! Happy September to youuuuuuuu! Thank you for being here! Stay tuned, I’m excited to see what becomes of this wall too!

August flew by right? And it’s also been 100 days long….right?

Like….its still August…. For a whole day more….

So many of us are ready for football Sundays, chili in the crocky, bond fire in the backyard…I am ready to pull out my massive, warm sweatpants and sweatshirts more than ever. And temps in the 60’s and 70’s….ahhh…the months of September and October….just good months….they SOUND lovely don’t they?

But the warm weather remains for a little bit longer…we all know this. And fall passes by like a hurricane….sigh…

Anyway. Enough yappin.

If you missed our install yesterday, here are some shots of our latest.

I love how much warmth, biophilic tone these walls added to this great home.

Stay tuned for the next one coming on the works. We have a busy rest of the year ahead! I love that. I love that I get to say that. You know? Start a business from a simple idea and here we are….just from one….to here.

Enjoy our latest installation this morning!

My goodness…this house. I loveeeeeeeeeee this house. It is such a cool home…and now we have the honor of being the artist on the walls of this cool home… so thankful. 😌

Thank you so very much and family!!! Girl. That dining room table….and the light fixture…I’m going to dream about it forever. 😍

There are certain colors that just feel right….with enough richness and depth to make you pause for a second and think, Yep. That’s the one…gimme gimme

And then, naturally, my brain immediately starts imagining it everywhere…

Dressers….Doors….Trim…..Tables. Oh my….

it is absolutely hitting that sweet spot…warm, rich, earthy, and just the right amount of moody.

I’m so excited to show you the wall I’m finishing up on…this one is going to be a total showstopper. We have rich green moss blanketed on top of this beautiful rich shadow box frame. Stay tuned my friends!

The funny thing about running a small creative business…

I make the art, photograph the art, write about the art, edit the photos, post the post… and then Instagram may decide to show it to 200 people. And then 4 unfollows and those precious “likes” that we creators depend on…..what am I even saying! What is this weird world we’re in now 😂

But hey, I’m still here making things I love.

So here’s what I’m working on lately!

Creating and moving through life > worrying about the algorithm and how much other artists doing what I’m doing seem to have more of that “it” girl scene here on socials.

That’s going to be my focus from here on out.

I’m coming back as a pelican in my next life…

In my next life, I’ll fly between the piers and boats and reefs, cruising with nothing but open air beneath my wings…

I’ll stretch my wings wide and let the ocean wind move through them, always facing toward the sun…

When I get too warm, I’ll dip into the water and become weightless. I’ll watch storms roll in from the horizon and ride the rhythm of the waves back toward shore…

I’ll make friends with the fishermen, accept an easy little treat, and then be on my way with absolutely nowhere I need to be…

I’ll sit on the dock of the bay, wasting time…

And maybe that’s the part I love most…

A life with nowhere to rush to…
Just salty air, warm sun, endless blue, and the rhythm of the ocean reminding you that sometimes…there is nowhere else you need to be.
