This shower needed more than just a cleaning.

The buildup was only part of the problem. Once we inspected it closer, the grout and caulk needed attention too. A basic clean can improve the surface, but it won't fix failing joints, stained grout, or areas that need to be properly restored and protected.

Our process included deep cleaning.moldicide treatment ,grout touch-ups, recaulking, color sealing, and glass restoration to help bring the shower back to a cleaner, healthier, and easier-to-maintain condition.

Broken Tile Replacement & Expansion Joint Repair

Removed the existing trim as needed to access the damaged area. Carefully cut the surrounding grout joints and removed the broken tile without disturbing adjacent tiles. Cut and fitted a replacement tile to match the existing installation. The new tile was installed, properly aligned with the tile pattern, and carefully leveled to ensure a flush finish with surrounding tiles.

After the tile was set, the repair area was grouted to match the existing floor. We also repaired the affected expansion joints using a premium flexible grout caulking designed to accommodate normal floor movement and help prevent future cracking.

Do Your Tile Floors Sound Hollow?

A hollow-sounding tile doesn't always mean it needs to be removed and replaced.

Over time, tile can lose its bond to the substrate due to movement, improper installation, shrinking slabs, or voids beneath the tile. Common signs include:

✔ Hollow-sounding tiles when tapped
✔ Loose or moving tiles
✔ Cracked grout joints
✔ Tented or lifted tile floors
✔ Areas that feel different when walked on

How We Diagnose the Problem

Every project starts with a detailed inspection. We systematically tap the floor to identify hollow areas, check grout joints for movement, and determine whether the tile can be saved or if replacement is necessary.

Our Tile Rebonding Process

1️⃣ Locate and map hollow or loose tiles.
2️⃣ Drill small access holes through grout joints whenever possible.
3️⃣ Inject a specialized bonding adhesive beneath the tile.
4️⃣ Fill voids and re-establish support under the tile.
5️⃣ Allow the adhesive to cure.
6️⃣ Repair the access holes with color-matched grout.

The goal is to stabilize the tile without the expense and disruption of a full floor replacement.

While not every hollow tile requires repair, and not every floor is a candidate for rebonding, many loose or hollow-sounding floors can be successfully restored.

If you've noticed hollow sounds, cracked grout, or tiles beginning to move, addressing the issue early can often prevent more extensive damage.
