Dori Moran, owner and designer, is passionate about creating gifts that spark an exuberant emotion between the giver and the recipient - her goal is to create the ultimate gift that becomes a keepsake while bringing joy to families. Dori is inspired by many beautiful things including her love for Lake Erie, Cleveland, Kelleys Island, and sea turtles; she tries to incorporate them into her artwork.

Moran Creative Minds can create anything from wedding invitations and décor to house closing gifts for realtors, marketing signs, personalized ornaments, nursery signs, 3D art, and lake maps.

Dori loves creating meaningful pieces that add sentimental value to your home. She transforms handwritten notes in 3D wood cut signs, laserr engraved heirloom recipe boards while preserving loved one’s writing, and even creates 3D baby’s footprints and so much more.

Her latest creation is the coastal cityscape memories collection ornaments. Each ornament features 4 intricate layers of meticulously hand-drawn and then engraved city street map, capturing the essence of our beloved Ohio

Raise the colors and ready yer crew! Pirate's Creed will be taking the stage on July 25th at Port Clinton Pirate Fest and bringing a rousing mix of pirate tunes and seafaring energy to the waterfront!

Whether ye be a seasoned buccaneer or a fresh deckhand, this is a performance ye won't want to miss.

It’s finally happening 💙🩵💙

Lake Erie Art Collective officially opens May 21st at 1 PM in downtown Port Clinton.

This space has been built with a whole lot of late nights, creativity, support from family and friends, and a vision to create something beautiful for our shoreline community.

Inside you’ll find a thoughtfully curated collection of coastal-inspired art, gifts, pottery, jewelry, candles, original artwork, home décor, and pieces handmade by incredible local artists and makers.

We’ll also be offering custom signs, personalized pieces, wedding and event collaborations, and helping connect customers with talented local artists and creatives for meaningful custom work.

We still have finishing touches happening behind the scenes, but we are so excited to open the doors and welcome you in.

There’s something about the lake that reminds you to slow down, breathe deeper, and appreciate what really matters.

It reminds me to appreciate the women who do that for the people around them. The mothers, grandmothers, stepmoms, mother figures, and the women who somehow hold everything together while still showing up with love, patience, strength, and care.

Not just today, but every day. 🌊

Spent the day surrounded by so much Lake Erie history today at the in Sandusky ⚓️💙

Walking around seeing the old boats, ship wheels, exhibits, and stories from the lake while having my own work displayed inside the Howman Boathouse felt really special. Moments like this remind me why I create what I do in the first place.

Everything I make is inspired by the water, the shoreline, memories, and growing up around Lake Erie, so being in a place that preserves so much of that history just felt right.

I’m here until 4 PM today with my layered lake maps, lighthouse pieces, coastal art, ornaments, and other lake-inspired creations and sea turtles, of course. If you’re nearby, come wander through the museum and say hi.

2025 wasn’t perfect, but it was real.

It was early mornings, late nights, caffeine, paint on my hands, sawdust on everything, and conversations that reminded me why I do this in the first place. I got to hear your lake memories, your family stories, and what these pieces mean to you. That’s the part I carry with me.

Going into 2026, I want to stay grounded and keep building slowly and intentionally.
And I hope this next year gives you more calm days, more meaning, and more moments that feel like standing near the water and taking a deep breath. 💙
