Some people just know how to light the way. A huge thank you to Shelby Electric for donating their time and expertise to our Teachers' Lounge transformation. Because of them, our teachers now have a space that's brighter in every sense. Thank you for being the spark behind this project!

So much has happened and we don’t even know what to post first! But this is one we can FINALLY share.

Timothy Ware, executive director of Grizzlies Prep shares with Memphis Grizzlies our mission and our plans for the school.

The entire team and coaching staff was onsite to see the school for the first time since this is their first year in the new campus. And they also had the opportunity to learn about TDB.

We hope this is the beginning of many more exciting collaborations in stored.

We are flabbergasted. 🤯🤣🥰

Behind every beautiful space are the people who make all the details come together. Essential Design Collective helps make the process easier, more organized, and less stressful.

We’re especially grateful for their heart behind this movement. As a former kindergarten teacher, Lisa Bone knows firsthand how much teachers give every day and how meaningful it is to have a space to step away, recharge, and feel valued.

Thank you, Essential Design Collective, for helping us create a space where teachers can recharge and feel supported.

Together, we’re moving the movement forward!

Art changes everything. It can shift the whole feel of a room, spark creativity, and make people feel connected the second they walk in.

That’s exactly why we’re so grateful to Leftbank Art for sponsoring our Grizzlies Prep teachers’ lounge, the next school in The Teachers’ Lounge Movement… happening this week!

Leftbank Art gets it and, more importantly, gets us. They believe design can support education, and that’s what makes this partnership so special.

A huge thank you to the Leftbank Art team for helping us build a lounge that celebrates the people shaping the next generation. Our teachers deserve this, and you helped make it happen. 🎨

Great spaces start with great partners! We’re incredibly grateful to Classic Home for being one of our top sponsors for the Grizzlies Prep Teachers’ Lounge Movement! They’ve been with us since the very beginning.

One of our favorite things about CH is their commitment to celebrating natural materials, authentic character, and thoughtful design. So you know this is a perfect partnership match for us!

Together with The Design Besties, Classic Home is helping create a space where teachers can recharge, connect, and feel appreciated. You know they deserve it! And you know they deserve Classic Home’s luxury. ☺️

Thank you, Classic Home, for investing in the people who invest in the next generation!

A huge THANK YOU to Design-Build Tech Magazine for supporting the Teachers’ Lounge Movement!

Technology Designer brings together the worlds of smart technology, high-performance living, wellness, and design, making them such a meaningful partner in this work.

We first met Doug when we were just pulling ideas together in the very early stages of TDB. His stories have inspired and guided us as we navigated this new world of becoming a 501(c)(3).

When you have folks you admire standing alongside you as you grow, you know you have something worth building!

Thank you, Technology Designer, for believing in the power of better spaces for the people who give so much to our communities.

Grateful is an understatement. We are so grateful to have Technology Designer alongside us in our movement to create an inspiring sense of place for our well-deserving educators.

Let’s talk about Smith System or a sec! 💛

When we met at EDspaces, we knew right away we loved each other’s missions. We saw the potential for a collaboration, so we set up a meeting to keep the conversation going.

And that meeting changed everything. Smith System is officially our Anchor Partner for Memphis’ Grizzlies Prep and they are furnishing the ENTIRE new library. Every chair, every table, every reading nook. Their generosity is simply unmatched.

We’d like to point out this is our first ever student space, and it’s only possible because Smith System has stepped up to the plate and overdelivering. We’re not crying you’re crying. 🥹

This partnership is real impact on our collective missions and on a school community we adore. We’re so grateful for your generosity, Smith System. Welcome to the Besties family!

See you October 9th. ✨
