With the start of the holiday season we've been working on all kinds of custom orders including ornaments, cutting boards, water bottles, and key chains. While we've been busy with those things, I decided to take on a pet project of mine. I'm going to work on an Advent art series on wood based on scenes from scripture, and in particular focusing on the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary and include the text of scripture associated with the scene on live edge wood plaques.

This scene depicts the Visitation and features the Magnificat in Latin.

We've also been working on dialing in our settings for photo-realistic burns and highly-detailed rasterized graphics.

Hey guys!!! We are going to be out at Pikes Peak Brewing Company in downtown Colorado Springs this Saturday from 3 - 7 celebrating "Half Way to St. Patrick's Day" (which is basically Christmas in July, but with beer and Irish music).

MORE IMPORTANTLY, we will be supporting the 2022 IAFF Fallen Firefighter Memorial event which will be held that same day.

I don't know if you know this, but one of our marketing elements is our very own celidh band so we will not only be selling our wares but we will also be providing some entertainment as well. If you are in the area, come out, have a beer, listen to some music and show some love!

Hey family! Its been a heck of a week in our house and its only Wednesday. Our youngest, Sam, had a little too much fun on the trampoline. Abby, our second youngest learned how to use the airbrush to prep our glasses for engraving. She might have made a little bit of a mess along the way…

Did a few engraving jobs for some great humans! We’re really excited to have a business partnership forming with another great group of folks!!!! So yeah, exciting times at Cask and Chisel!

Just knocked out one of the coolest projects yet: engraving 40 bagpipe chanters for our local pipe band, the Pikes Peak Highlanders. The band just invested in brand new chanters and wanted them numbered for inventory and issuing purposes. I engraved a number and the name of the band in each using my 10w diode laser and then made the engraving pop with some gold paint inlay.
