LABOUR OF LOVE. Turtle platter 2.0 is done. Let's hope this lady makes it through the fire!!!

It is always so nice to finish something. The process took about 2 or 3 weeks, working a few hours everyday, not trying to push it too much, or needing the clay to dry and firm a bit. And then getting all the carving done before it fully dries out. Sculpting the head took about 3 hours alone.

It is tricky with clay. You can spend a lot of time on something and it can crack, or something could happen during firing. Even the glazes could mess up.
