We would like to introduce you to our great aunt, Eleanor Sabin Nelson. She was one of three friends who founded Marley Candles in Mokena, Indiana in 1962. These ladies loved to craft and create candles together as a hobby, and it turned into quite the business. They even got their husbands to be the custom candle mold craftsmen.

Marley candles specialized in the new "old" way of decorating the home with a colonial focus. As the years went by another family bought the business, and they kept it going until just a few years ago. The owners began to sell their candle molds and we purchased a few of the originals to use for our own beeswax candles. I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Hopefully you enjoy looking back at a little part of our history. And isn't that the sweetest little candle you have ever seen? That mold is a Marley original!

We sure have loved creating soap and candles for our family and friends to enjoy. Thanks for coming along with us. ☺️

We are pleased to offer our hand-poured, pure beeswax candles. Beeswax is unique in that it burns long and clean without smoke or soot. The flame's light is the same spectrum as that of the sun's light which reduces eye strain and creates a cozy natural atmosphere.

Our beeswax comes from healthy Pennsylvania bees traveling around the United States to pollinate crops and orchards like Almonds, Apples, Blueberries, and Pumpkins.

Being intentional with resources is very important to us. We pour our 4 ounce candles into repurposed glass jars to give new life to something otherwise discarded.

Amaryllis - One of our favorite gifts to give at Christmas time. There is something special that happens when you watch bright green leaves emerge from what looks to be an onion in a flower pot. Beautiful blooms open toward the sunlight and the dreariness of winter brightens. It reminds us of the hope and life of Jesus that came at a seemingly hopeless time.

Our premium bulbs come from Peru. They are tucked into a specially fertized potting mix to encourage healthy growth and blooms for this season and more to come. They are planted in an Italian terracotta pot and come with a ceramic saucer to protect your surfaces from moisture.

We are delighted to offer 6 types of amaryllis to choose from:

Red Lion - large bright red single blooms
Double King - double blooms of ruffled red petals
Anne Seaton - deep burgundy red single blooms
Minerva - red blooms and white star center
Christmas Gift - white blooms w/ light green center
Double Nymph - double white blooms with delicate red ribbons on the petals (this variety grows 14-20”)

Each can grown 16-26” tall with blooms 6-8 inches across. Each bulb produces at least one stalk with 4 blooms to each stalk. Often more flower stalks will grow given the right care. Very easy to grow. $25.
