How are we feeling about these micro cement floors?? I think they’re gorgeous!!

Hubs and I have been arm wrestling over engineered hardwood versus limestone tile, but I think I just changed my vote! I might have to try this in the laundry room or something, just to see how it holds up.

I’m going to be doing a lot of this in the brick house! Makes cheaper pine trim, doors or furniture look like upgraded white oak.

This isn’t in the Brick House, it’s in our other house back North, but it’s something I’ll definitely be doing again in the Brick House.

When I priced out closet shelving for this big walk-in closet, it came to almost $2000 for stuff that was mostly fall-aparticle board. The thrifter in me said “no way”.

I found this solid wood Thomasville set on Facebook Marketplace, $125 for four pieces! It fit the space beautifully. My husband built in some extra shelving and a hanging rod for me. The mirror is made out of an abstract painting that I couldn’t let go of but also didn’t really work in my house.

These are the kind of custom renovations I enjoy most, creating spaces like no other out of items that are upcycled, thrifted or literally pulled from dumpsters!

Look what a beautiful vanity this old dresser is going to make with this champagne colored crystal vessel sink! And just wait til you see the faucet! I don’t even think I’m going to refinish the dresser, just going to leave it distressed. Cement countertop or marble?? 🤔

I like the look of this micro cement vanity…. I can see how one could do an entire kitchen like this…. Might try it with the kitchenette in the in-law suite….
