I was able to get some things in the kiln this week! I have been canning more these past few weeks than I ever have and my pantry shelves are fuller than my pottery shelves for sure!! Do you can, if so, what is your favorite thing to put up for winter??

Mugs and tumblers! These are the last of my mugs. My shelf is empty and I don’t have any started.
Did you know mugs take almost 3 weeks to make?
There are a lot of steps involved.
1) throw mug body
2) trim when dry enough
3) pull and attach handle
4) cover with plastic for 4-5 days
5) vent plastic so it drys slowly
6) uncover and dry completely
7) bisque fire
8) glaze
9) glaze fire
10) sand bottoms nice and smooth
Whew.
