A couple of days ago, I got a question asking why I hadn't posted anything lately.
Well… here it is. ❤️
I took a much-needed vacation. I spent time with the most important people in my life—my family—and I gave myself permission to slow down, relax, and just breathe for a little while.
And honestly? It gave me some time to re-evaluate my goals.
Sometimes we set our goals so high, and when we don't accomplish them the way we planned, we start to feel like we've failed. That little voice in the back of our head starts creeping in, telling us we're not going to be able to accomplish what we set out to do, so maybe we should just give up.
And sometimes… we do.
But stepping away doesn't mean you've given up. Sometimes, all you really need is to reset.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with changing your goals or changing the timeline. If you need more time to accomplish something, give yourself more time. If you've set a huge goal, break it down into smaller ones. If something isn't working, try a different approach.
Whatever works for you—as long as you don't give up on yourself.
And that's what I did.
I rewrote my goals. I changed some things around. I gave myself a little more grace and a little more realistic timeline.
And you know what? That doesn't make me a failure.
Actually, I think it makes me stronger because I'm learning to recognize when something needs to change instead of beating myself up because it didn't go exactly according to plan.
So don't let anyone tell you what you should be doing, how you should be doing it, or how long it should take.
Your goals are yours. Your journey is yours. Your timeline is yours.
So take a step back if you need to. Rework the plan. Start over. Change direction. Break that big goal into smaller pieces.
Just don't convince yourself that changing the plan means you've failed.
Sometimes, you aren't giving up… you're just giving yourself a better chance to succeed. ❤️
And with that… I'm back! 😉
Oh, and one more thing… remember that I said I spent some time re-evaluating my goals? Well, let's just say some pretty exciting things came out of that reset. 👀
I'll have a little announcement to make later today… and I think you're going to like this one! ❤️
