Prim and Pretty

Last week in pictures. Hubby and I (and Millie) just returned from a quick trip to do some genealogy research, and of course I had to do a little sourcing on the way. We stayed at the loveliest little cabin in the woods, ate some amazing bbq, took in a stellar primitive antique show, saw all the big things, and found some chunky white ironstone that will be making its way to the booth this week. Oh, and our eldest son brought me flowers, for no reason at all. ❤️

Tonight was vendor night. And you know what that means…
I’ve fussed and fluffed the booth, and added new things here and there. Lots of beautiful old, brown transferware, fabrics, sewing goodies, ironstone pieces, bobbins, boxes, fall florals…come, and be inspired.

ANTIQUE and VINTAGE MARKET held at the Lake County fairgrounds in Crown Point Indiana. Friday November 20th 4pm-9pm and Saturday November 21st 9am-4pm. Held twice a year in March and November.

It’s a beautiful morning to get out and wander through the aisles at Crown Antique Mall. Linger, plan, dream…

Two big buildings, 26,000 feet of treasures, over 150 vendors. The weather is perfect, overhead doors are open, we’re there until 5pm today. You can find Prim and Pretty, freshly stocked, in building 2, center aisle.

Where are all my textile lovin’ peeps? Because I’ve just restocked the booth with vintage sewing goods of all kinds. Fabric bundles, buttons, ephemera, thread, patterns…
You name it, it’s there. I’ve also brought in some of the prettiest old linens and doilies, all freshly laundered and pressed. Be sure to peek in the drawers to see everything. I’ve labeled them, so you can find exactly what you’re looking for.

I know, I know…some of you don’t want Summer to end. But ‘some of us’ can’t wait for Fall to begin! I’ve tried my best to ease you into Fall with soft, autumnal tones, delicious scents, and pretty crockery of all kinds.

So this week’s refresh includes lots of beautiful old linens, brown transferware pieces, Fall florals, and I’ve restocked staples like candles, fun greeting cards, soaps, and woven runners.

I’ve also restocked my vintage FABRIC, and notions shelves. I’m adding new things there as fast as I can…you guys are making it hard to keep up!

And don’t forget to take a peek inside my little glass case, where I hid the BUTTER PATS, and I have some of the loveliest handmade earrings.

Once upon a time…I was a seamstress. As such, I amassed an impressive stash of vintage fabric, old lace, antique linens, trims and other sewing accoutrements. These days, you’re more likely to find me wrangling a crew of three year olds, than sewing. So I have begun the arduous task of inspecting, measuring, and tagging (the mountain of) fabrics for your perusal in my booth. If you’re a sewist, stitcher or crafter, I hope you’ll take a peek. I promise, this is the tip of the proverbial iceberg. 🤭
