👀 Did you know that when the skin is touched and engaged in love and intimacy, the hormone oxytocin is released?

🌸 Oxytocin helps regulate the stress response to lower blood pressure, decrease cortisol, and promote feelings of well-being.

👀 Did you also know that the body can’t differentiate between loving touch from yourself or someone else?!?!?

This is why practicing self-massage is an absolute MUST!

🌸 To befriend and love your skin and body is life-changing. An easy way to start is to find a really body moisturizer or oil that you love and take 5 minutes after your bath or shower to apply with intention and love all over your legs, arms, belly, neck, and shoulders.

Why is there so much pain, suffering, and unresolved trauma in our communities and families? Because we were conned into believing it’s normal, can’t be changed, and that we must make trauma a part of life.

The reality is that abuse on any level is NOT normal, and the trauma CAN be resolved.

It is well within the human capacity to not only survive but to also heal and prosper in the aftermath of pain, abuse, torture, and cruelty.

It’s never too late to dive into the deep end of your ocean, wrestle a shark, and emerge more alive, hopeful, and peaceful in spirit than you ever imagined.
