Even though I love to bake, I had no idea what this was until mom added it to the booth!

Pie birds like this one are functional vents designed to release steam from pies while baking to avoid soggy pie crusts and prevent filling from boiling over. What a unique nifty kitchen tool! 🥧

✨fun facts: Cobbler boot forms are historically called “lasts”. Many traditional forms were made from cedar or aromatic woods, the cedar's natural oils killed germs and bacteria which reduced the interior boot odor.
