A GOOD design isn’t always created at a desk. Sometimes it looks like sitting down… and staying there for a while.

It is part of our “Design For Wellness” strategy to test how a seat actually feels to the body — the depth, support, posture, comfort, and how the body responds over time. Because lounging isn’t just about aesthetics. It’s about wellness.

A chair can either create tension or invite restoration. It can support conversation, quiet moments, recovery, connection, and pause in a world that rarely slows down.

Wellness lives in every design decision...including how you sit.

Design is not just how it looks.
It’s about health, safety, and welfare—how people live, move, and feel every day.
It’s easy to focus on what’s beautiful or trending.
But real design shows up in function, flow, and how a space supports you.
Pretty is a bonus.
Purpose is the responsibility.
We’re not just designing spaces.
We’re shaping how people live.
Beauty is expected.
Performance is designed.

AI is a tool. Not the designer...
It’s great for ideas but it doesn’t know your client, your space, or how people actually live.

And when it gets it wrong? That’s still on you.

Clients aren’t coming to Shundra Harris Designs for AI.
They’re coming for expertise, intention, and design that actually works for real life, real people, and real wellness. So use it. Benefit from it. Just don’t lean on it.
Because design is still your responsibility.

Stop playing it safe. Your powder room deserves love.

4 shifts. One completely different space:
• The vanity wall became the focal point
• The walls got dressed - light, layered, intentional
• The lighting softened everything

The details pulled it all together.
Her (our client) ask?
A jewelry box… with bling. And I can still hear it - “Keep it light, I don’t want a dark box. Get rid of that busy wallcovering.” So we did.

We reworked the floor, redefined the walls, let the vanity carry the space, now it’s what she dreamed of....Beautiful and well-budgeted.
