The Resurrection and the Life
“Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; the one who believes in Me will live, even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?” - John 11:25
Because He lives, we can face tomorrow and eternity.
The Composition of the Tapestry:
- This shows the form veil in the Holy of Holies in the Jewish Temple. The veil was torn right when Jesus died on the cross.
- The veil has very specific instructions for how it was to be made and what colors they used: Blue and Purple are used much to signify royalty.
“You shall also make a veil of violet, purple, and scarlet material, and fine twisted linen; it shall be made with cherubim, the work of a skilled embroiderer. Then you shall hang it on four pillars of acacia overlaid with gold, their hooks also of gold, on four bases of silver.” - Exodus‬ â€26‬:â€31‬-â€32‬ â€
- The two crosses on the left and right are the crosses that the two criminals were crucified on. The middle cross is Jesus’ cross and the yellow in the back can resemble the sun or just an orb of light surrounding it.
