What was I thinking? Wednesday drive home from Mardi Gras, and Thursday drive the 200 miles each way to Abilene and lifestyle three homes. Love being so crazy busy! Thanks to for being the driver from NOLA so I could write proposals on the way home. Multitasking at its finest.

We are so blessed to have friends like and Larkin in our lives. They have shared their friends, love of this wonderful city, and even their beautiful jewel box French Quarter home with us so we could see Mardi Gras in its most beautiful form. What is the best thing about Mardi Gras? Hands down, the people. I think this is my third year, and every year I understand it and love it more. Hoping that my flight here in Dallas gets here soon so I can get back to my favorite city and people for these last magical days.

When the parade stalls the keep dancing, starting a dance party that everyone was invited to join in. Great save Stompers, and will be one of my favorite memories of Mardi Gras. When life stalls, dance!

Let the parades begin! I’ve always wanted to see the Mardi Krewe and yesterday I did! It is so much fun to come now and see our participating in everything that makes New Orleans so special. When challenged me to up my game and show why I am a Lifestylist, I pulled out my box of corks and glue guns and got to it! Mission accomplished, even in New Orleans I got a lot of compliments including from some of the Dollys! Just wait until next year- this years parades gave me a lot of ideas. Time to gather up some@more corks… the sacrifice!

Another store closing its doors. I have loved shopping at the at Cedar Hill- wonderful, helpful staff that has been a joy to work with. I have the feeling that this is just the beginning- it’s harder than ever for businesses just to survive.

I would like to thank my parents for those years of ice skating lessons. At my age I probably would have broken a hip if I didn’t know how to fall! Always an adventure around here.
