I’ve just started working on a beach house project and created these slides for my client so she could see examples of the many different coastal styles we can achieve. From Palm Beach to California, each has its own aesthetic, although as you can see they all share common elements. No matter what, these styles elevate my mood and make me long for the sun on my face and sand between my toes! What’s your favorite beach house style? (Note: the images in the slides were found on the internet and are not my projects. Today we installed custom window treatments that include darling valances and Roman shades. My client loves color and pattern and her beautiful home begged for something special. We designed the cutest scalloped toppers for the kitchen in yellow and duck egg blue to complement the cabinet color, and used a smaller scale yellow patterned fabric for the Roman shades layered underneath. The bright sunroom got a cheery fabric in the same shades as the kitchen. The lounge is painted a deep navy and we used the colors in their rug for the window treatments: blue, cream and red. The valances feature a contrasting pleat held open with a fabric-covered button. The Roman shades are finished with a contrasting scallop-edge tape trim.

Hello everyone!! I hope your week is off to a great start. I had a question recently from a prospective client. She asked how long projects take from start to finish. The answer really depends on the size and scope of the project. Obviously, any outside trades work, like structural changes, will add to the timeline. But let’s just say we’re working on a room refresh that includes just furnishings, window treatments, paint or wallpaper, art and decor. A project like that for a single room could be completed and installed as quickly as 4 weeks. However, if we’re specifying custom furniture items, they average 8-12 weeks to be made. So, projects that require custom or items out of stock are completed on average in 3 months. We do our best to keep the process moving along, so you can enjoy your new space! #

Oooh! I am loving these new tape trims with real wood beading! They’re performance too, so they can be used outdoors. Fade-proof and bleach cleanable. I’ve got a beach house in mind for these!

That’s my husband and I. We had a great time while he was home for three weeks in January. Now, he’s back in the Middle East. After nearly 20 years, this isn’t our first rodeo with s**t hitting the fan in the places he’s sent. But this time feels different. I am worried. Please pray for the men, women and children affected by what happened today. And pray our gov’t ends this. 🙏🏻
