HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
As we head into a new year, a year of new hopes and dreams. A new year of anticipation, and aspirations, I pray the Lord will bless each one of you with good health and lots of happiness.
It has been such a pleasure meeting you all throughout this past year.... new friends, new relationships, and reconnecting with lots of old friends.
My little cabin has not only been a place to shop, it's been a place where folks can come and sit a spell ,.... share a story or two, reminisce, and be drawn back into a time in their lives where memories come to the surface. When you see a piece of glassware that reminded you of your grandmother, or a picture that brought back memories of your childhood. It's those little things that have been held near and dear in many hearts, that sometimes resurface when you enter the log cabin. I hear it quite often .... Some will say it's the smell of the wood, it's the creaking screen door, it's the knick knacks that you remember your momma having on her shelf when you were growing up. It's even the old outhouse standing near the gnarled mesquite tree that sparks up a conversation of when they were a child! Oh what memories that have been shared over this past year!! I cherish each and every one of them! From the kind older gentleman, who came looking for a vintage fork for his wife....because she collected them....or the couple just starting out, and looking for items to decorate their first home with. The many folks who just appreciate antiques, and like to look. I've also been surprised many times by the things people say they collect. . Sometimes I have exactly what they're looking for, and if I don't, I'll try to find it for them elsewhere. As 2025 becomes a thing of the past, just as all the things inside the cabin have become, I'm grateful for the times shared, the stories told, the laughter, the memories.... I'm thankful for the friendships made this past year...And, I look forward to a new year of making new friends, and hearing more stories, and having more laughs and fun times! I treasure each one of you, and hope to see you this Spring when we have our annual mile long county road yard sales and antiques sales. Until then, if you want to come to Brier Creek and shop let me know, and we'll schedule a time. I'm available just about anytime. Until then, may your lives be blessed with all the things that bring you peace and happiness...... HAPPY TRAILS TO YOU..... UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN!
