Each strand of abaca is dyed by hand, creating the subtle shifts in color and texture that make the finished piece feel so special. I love seeing the palette at this stage—before the fibers ever make their way to the loom.

Finishing details on this custom Madeline rug for our Lakewood project. 🎨

One of my favorite parts of the custom process is choosing each color specifically for the room. We pull from the project’s fabrics, finishes, and overall palette to create a rug that feels completely at home in the space.

Meet Madeline.

One of my favorite parts of designing rugs is taking inspiration from centuries-old textiles and reimagining them into something that feels timeless rather than trendy.

Madeline was inspired by antique botanical motifs, layered blues, and architectural borders that give the rug both structure and softness. Every detail was intentionally designed before being hand knitted by artisans in India.

I can’t wait to see this one in your homes.
