I think we post virtually the same photos every year but it's SO colorful! Forsythia, violets, dandelions, apple/peach/pear/blueberry blossoms and a blurry bee getting pollen on elderberry!

An elusive critter here on the farm that people rarely see is our feral barn cat Remi. We got her 8 years ago with her brother "Rugie" (Re*****on and R***r). We lost him to a bobcat a few years ago. Since Howie keeps a fire going just for her in the cold, Remi was around for a short time to visit this afternoon. Even though isn't friendly to most and prefers to hunt or hide (she does "talk" to Amy), she is still is loved.

Happy New Year!! Thank you all for your support and for buying local during the holiday season - we appreciate you!

Quick update from the frozen & snowy tundra of Deerfield ;)

Howie did a beehive health check today! All three hives are doing well. We feed them sugar blocks in the winter and they were all abuzz to get some new treats this afternoon. The bees are cleaning out the dead bees and dropping them in the snow to keep their homes clean. Oh and the yellow dots in the snow is bee p**p. You're welcome! All great signs. Lets hope for an early spring! We do have a limited supply of honey, please message us if you would like any.

He also brought "Fern" out for a bit. He really loves that girl. They don't make them like this anymore.

We'll be here cutting kindling and restocking our birdhouse inventory if you need us! Kindling is definitely keeping us busier than usual thanks to a very cold December and winter thus far.

People often ask "How are the birdhouses?" Of course, they're great 😁but did you know that in the past four days we have cut, bagged, stacked, wrapped and delivered 180 bags (6 pallets) of bagged kindling wood?

It seems like its going to be a cold and busy year for this! Since September we have delivered 24 pallets (or 720 bags) of bagged kindling to our partners in southern NH. You can grab a bag at Osborne's Farm & Garden stores in Hooksett, Concord & Belmont, Clark's Grain in Chichester & Ossippee, Ben's Sugar Shack in Temple, Heritage Hardware in Northwood, Ace Ben Franklin in Raymond and Sweet River Farm in Deerfield. Stay warm friends!
