Sometimes I am just an unrealistic fool, or what I say a dreamer lol 🌿 I envisioned a One-Hour Project yet it turned into a a two day project …

Couldn’t find our staple gun, resorted to the electric one, staples were literally bending into the seat wood

Upon placing the seats back on couldn’t see where the original screw holes were, had to resort to another angle, hence why the fabric is nice and straight on chair 1 and not chair 2

Had to borrow a staple gun from my neighbor, good thing she owns 3, I stapled the fabric in but now the staples also had to be banged in with a hammer

You know those projects where you think, “Oh, this should only take about an hour…”?

Yeah. These chairs had other plans. 😂

These vintage chairs are made SO well. The craftsmanship is impressive — they are incredibly strong, sturdy, and solid, with beautiful curved wood details and a construction that you just don’t see as often in furniture today. I love them but the bottom of the seat cushion is none of our business okay?

I think they look great and I’m not done with this project, this is just a sneak peak. Sometimes the best vintage projects are the ones that take a little longer than you planned. ✨

I haven’t had a sale at my roadside stand in months. Honestly, I don’t think anyone has even stopped.

And yet… I continue.

Why?

Because this is something God sowed in me. 🌱
Because it helps me.
Because it heals something in me.
Because it brings me joy.

Not everything I am called to do is about profit, numbers, or success in the eyes of the world.

Sometimes, I feel it is about obedience.
Sometimes, it’s about creating something beautiful when no one is watching. Because even thought I ask God “when will it be my turn” I feel the nudge to keep it going because practice makes perfect, and just maybe that change is right around the corner.
Sometimes, it’s simply about having a little place where your heart can breathe.

So I’ll keep planting.
I’ll keep growing.
I’ll keep creating.
I’ll keep putting the flowers out by the road.

Even when no one stops.

Because maybe this was never just about selling something.

Maybe God knew I needed this little piece of beauty for myself. 🤍🌿🌸

We are open today! Should we open every Sunday? Little Miss Ruby can actually create fall flavored lemonade and hot cocoa when the cooler temps hit? What do you think?

The Cottage Life

Maybe it’s the neurodivergent brain in me… but when I dream up something, I don’t just want to sell something.

I want to create an experience. 🤍

So I open the cottage. 🌿
I grow and gather flowers. 🌸
I put together little vintage treasures. 🕯️
And Ruby and her worker cough cough, her dad aka Luigi Lemons create 32 oz fresh-squeezed lemonade by order. 🍋

It might look like I’m doing a whole bunch of random things, but in my mind, they all belong together.

I love creating little moments that feel different from the ordinary. I want you to pull up to the cottage and feel like you’ve stepped into another time—a place where things are slower, more thoughtful, a little whimsical, and made with love.

And honestly, part of the reason I do it is because I want to share that feeling with other people.

If something I create makes someone smile, gives a family a special memory, inspires someone to grow flowers, or simply makes their day a little sweeter… then it was worth opening all the little doors in my brain and bringing the ideas to life. 😂🤍

So yes… there’s a cottage.
There are flowers.
There’s vintage.
There’s lemonade by order.

And somehow, it all makes perfect sense to me. 🌿🍋🌸
