🚨 NEW SIGNS AT HOLLYHOCK! 🚨

Apparently, the flags flying at the end of the driveway weren’t quite enough to convince everyone we were OPEN. 😂

With this heat, we’ve been keeping the market doors CLOSED because the AIR CONDITIONER IS ON! We’ve gotta keep the flowers happy, the chocolate from melting, and nobody wants to shop in a 100-degree shed. 🥵🌸🍫

So—we added a couple new signs! Hopefully there’s no more wondering:

Flags are out + sign says OPEN = COME ON IN! ❤️
If the doors are closed, that just means it’s nice and cool inside!

We still have plenty of goodies left for tomorrow—and I have to say, the bread is SPOT ON this week. 🥖❤️ The sourdough turned out absolutely beautiful.

And since we’re talking bread, I want to mention something that’s really important to me. Sourdough is a living, handmade product, and as much as I work to get every loaf just right, it can occasionally surprise me after it’s baked and packaged. If you ever purchase something from Hollyhock that you aren’t happy with, please message me and let me know. I will make it right. I mean that.

You guys are the reason I get to keep doing this crazy little baking hobby of mine every week, and I want you to feel good about what you take home from Hollyhock. ❤️

Since it’s Sourdough Saturday.

🍞 How do YOU eat your sourdough?

Everybody has their favorite way…

Mine? Warm or toasted, slathered with butter and finished with a little sea salt. 🤤🧈🧂 (PICTURED. Mini Roasted Garlic Italian Herb and Cheese).

Nothing fancy. Just really good sourdough, warm butter, and that little salty crunch. SO good.

Now I want to know yours! 👇

🍪 HAPPY FRIDAY! THE MARKET IS OPEN! 🌻

And LOOK what made their way into the stand this morning…

Brown Butter Salted Caramel Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies 🤤

Brown butter chocolate chip cookie dough, homemade caramel stuffed inside, more homemade caramel drizzled over the top, and a little flaky sea salt to finish them off.

And y’all… these cookies are a labor of love. 😂 Between making the caramel, cooling it, portioning it, freezing it, making the brown butter dough, stuffing every cookie, baking them, then drizzling and salting them — they are definitely not your average chocolate chip cookie.

Which probably explains the note on our board about why Phil wants to marry me. 😂

Because they are so much work, these will be a LIMITED ITEM. I put a few 2-packs in the market this morning, and I’ll stock what I have available again tomorrow for Sourdough Saturday. Once they’re gone, they’re gone!
