I spent some time wandering an orchard this weekend, and I'm still thinking about how many shades of red one apple tree can hold! It's easy to treat fall as one big orange blur, but a slow walk past the rows and the mum stands showed me so many colors I want to paint. Sometimes I get stuck creatively, don't you? So I tried the AI assistant in , and it gave me a good starting point. I typed in my own thoughts for my caption, hit generate, and asked it to rewrite until something felt better. Then I took out the emojis (they're just not me), changed the wording, and made it my words.

It even suggests hashtags, so I picked the ones I liked and saved them for my first comment. Then I scheduled it right from Express to every channel I wanted.

It finally feels like autumn along Lake Michigan. The air has cooled down, the reds and oranges are getting brighter, and I'm spending as much time as I can on our front porch under a wool blanket with Max, watching our maple tree turn early. This month I'm noticing the quieter things, like leaves, seedpods, and the bones of my garden, plus our yearly apple picking trip.
