Some before and “During” on the ≈ 100 year old Seth Thomas clock i’m working on. It’s a work in progress so don’t mind the rough parts. The green will set much darker.

The statement made here was “improving upon history” while using it as decoration. Something many culture’s have faced historically. I removed the original designs, wiped the name and numbers off of the clock face, deconstructed the clock mechanism and used its housing and gears as decoration. I replaced the numbers, hands and mechanism with something i deemed “prettier and more modern” (battery-powered) , and installed a pendulum that is also made of one of the clock’s old gears. Still a work in progress but i’m getting somewhere.
